The rumble of rhetorics between the reclusive nation of North Korea and the United States has sparked anew as the latter's commander-in-chief - Donald Trump blurted out a meaty statement suggesting that they will be handling the former on their own. This in the event that China won't be applying any sanctions towards Pyongyang's ever growing nuclear threat.

In an interview with the Financial Times, as cited by BBC, Trump stated that if China will not solve North Korea, then they will get to the bottom of it on their own. He said that China has a great influence over North Korea adding that should the former help them out with Pyongyang, then it will be very good for China. Otherwise, this will put the country in a bad light including other parties involved. When asked if his statement points out to a unilateral action, Trump did not went into details about it. Such statement came out ahead of Trump's meeting with Chinese president Xi Jinping at Mar-a-Lago this Thursday, April 6.

In line with such, Trump's national security advisors have gathered a roster of alternatives - both military and economic that the head of state can press on against North Korea. Allegedly, the proposals that were laid before Trump were mostly punitive actions and urging China to have more impact on its hermit neighbor, according to RT.

Meanwhile, Kim Jong-un is still at it in developing armaments that could match its U.S. counterpart. In a span of just five years, the supreme leader has already conducted three nuclear tests alongside the development of long ranged ballistic missiles. In fact, on March 22, Pyongyang ran a rocket engine test that many analysts believe that it will be for a new intercontinental ballistic missile that they are developing.
